Indigenous Diamonds Pathway Program
The Indigenous Diamonds Pathway Program (IDPP) is based on a nomination and trial process. During each netball season, First Nations athletes compete in weekly premier league netball matches as well as undertake strength and conditioning sessions and on-court training every week. This improves their overall performance to prepare them physically and mentally for regional, state and national netball pathway and leadership opportunities.

In 2022, from a talented squad of athletes, our Indigenous Diamonds - Townsville netball team was formed which we entered into the region's premier league netball competition. We are proud to say that our Indigenous Diamonds team in Townsville achieved history-making status as the first 'all-Indigenous' netball team to have ever competed in a women's premier league netball competition in Australia.
In 2023, SCALA will be expanding its IDPP to south-east Queensland to create our next Indigenous Diamonds netball team which will compete in the Elite Premier League premier league netball competition at Mt Warren Park in Beenleigh.
